Based on Article (Seventy) of the Basic Law of Governance, issued by Royal Order No. (A/90) dated 8/27/1412 AH
Based on Article (Twenty) of the Council of Ministers Law, issued by Royal Order No. (A/31) dated 3/3/1414 AH
Based on Articles (Seventeen) and (Eighteen) of the Shura Council Law, issued by Royal Order No. (A/91) dated 8/27/1412 AH
After reviewing Shura Council Resolutions No. (83/1/75) dated 0/1/2/1434 AH and No. (52/1/77) dated 2/24/1436 AH
After reviewing Cabinet Resolution No. (241) dated 25/1/1434 AH / 4 / 1438 AH
After reviewing Royal Order No. (627 1 1) dated 8/3/1438 AH,
First: Approval of the Saudi Building Code Implementation System, in the attached form.
Second: His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister, the ministers, and the heads of the relevant independent agencies—each within their respective jurisdiction—shall implement this decree.

Decision to change the electricity distribution voltage
Honorable Council of Ministers Resolution No. (324) dated 9/20/1431 AH
The esteemed Council of Ministers Resolution No. (324) dated 20/9/1431 AH was issued, approving a gradual plan to change the electricity distribution voltage in residential and commercial areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the current voltage (220/127) volts to the international voltage (400/230) volts, and that the change be carried out in stages so that it begins in new areas and new subscribers in existing areas as of the date of the decision’s entry into force, and the change to the new voltage in existing areas will be within a period of (25) years from the date of the decision’s entry into force, and the period is divided into two preliminary stages of (10) years, and the second is an executive stage of (15) years.
